Being cooped up inside writing papers all weekend meant that I needed something fun to do when I just couldn’t stand it anymore and needed a break. So I was a creative beast this weekend. I worked on 3 papers and a project; and this fabu market bag!

Now if only I could get out of the house and put some newly purchased goods into it.
I posted all the juicy tidbits regarding the pattern and yarn on Ravelry, so if you can (you need to become a member (it’s free)), click here to check it out.
If you’re not a Ravelite, I used Inga Mertens’ Haekelbeutel pattern, and Plymouth Encore yarn in colors 7022 (body) and 0215 (handles).
I did a little something special with the handles. I’m really pleased with the way they came out! I knit (4) 14″ ropes of i-cord and sewed two twisted together for each handle.
Here’s a little glimpse of my project page on Ravelry.

wow! That is so cute! as always, you totally rock! the handles came out really neat and they look really sturdy, too–like you could carry a gallon of juice in there and it wouldn’t be a strain at all. How cool!
This is fabulous! I’m off to go check out the info on ravelry!
