!Bienvenidos!
Welcome - to the very first post of Stitchify.com. Wahoozle!!!
We have loads of crafty fun to share with you, and we’re going to dip in our toes by introducing you to an extraordinary fiber supplier, kpixie.com. KPixie carries all kinds of patterns, yarns, notions, and kits. The site is run by a two gals, one of whom has a blog I have been reading for years, Midnight Knitter. I started reading her blog back when I first started crocheting, and her free patterns were the foundation of my fiber education.
I ordered a pattern from KPixie a while ago, and I was really impressed with their selection, speed, and customer service. I crocheted the Karabella Spiral Shawl pattern , which is available for purchase here.

Here’s my version, which I made to wear to my cousin’s wedding in Albuquerque. It was a really fun project. I ended up substituting the recommended yarn with a cotton yarn (since the wedding was in the desert!), “Cotton Fine,” by Brown Sheep Company in the color, “New Age Teal”.

I also used this pattern to crochet one huge spiral blanket in pink Wool Ease that I gave as a baby shower gift. Super cuteness!
KPixie.com is a cool shop, run by cool chicks, and certainly deserves our support. Go poke around - I’m sure you’ll find a pattern or yarn that you love!
Wow, only a couple of posts and I’m already hooked. I don’t personally knit or crochet, I must have two left hands, but I have friends who do. Now I can guide them to your site and ask them to make me things. #1 on my request list will be this shawl. Can you post pictures of the blanket too?
Aw, thank you Beth! I didn’t take pictures of that blanket =(. It was one of those - finish at the last second, throw in a gift bag, and jet to the party - projects ;)
I promise, now that I’m blogging I’ll take pictures of all crafty goodness.
PS: Thank you for Stumbling me!
The first post! Awesome. Congratulations on your sweet new blog!
